The Circus is Coming to Town!

The Circus Came to Town!

My oh my! Who doesn't love a circus? Sitting in the stand watching the acrobats, mesmerized by the lion tamer, and of course laughing at the clowns' crazy antics. The Eureka Chamber of Commerce brought the Culpepper & Merriweather Circus to the Tobacco Valley on Friday, June 26th.

Eureka Head Start

Eureka Head Start

What four year-old wouldn't want to spend some easy hours playing with other kids, learning neat new things and getting a healthy lunch? This is what Head Start offers to children. If a child is three to five years old, their parent can submit an application now to enroll the child in the upcoming 2015-16 school year.

Murray Spring Fish Hatchery

Murray Spring Fish Hatchery

The Murray Spring Fish Hatchery is located ten miles outside of Eureka and is a very interesting attraction as well as a very useful facility to have in this part of the county. The hatchery was originally built in 1978 by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to try to compensate for the river habitat lost when the Libby Dam project was built and Lake Koocanusa was established. The main mission for Murray Springs is to provide fish for Lake Koocanusa and the Kootenai drainage and other waters in northwest Montana. And they do this very well!

Eureka Farmer's Market

Eureka Farmer's Market

Can you imagine strolling through Riverside Park on a sunny afternoon watching the Tobacco River flow? You will hear some great local musicians playing and perhaps get ice cream or a homemade sweet to eat as you look at all the booths. Organic vegetables, original cards, local pork, handmade rugs, jams and jellies, fresh baked sourdough bread, flowers and hand painted silk scarves. These are just a few of the items that you will find at the Eureka Farmers Market.
