Tobacco Valley Board of History

Montana Film Festival

features film by Tobacco Valley artists

October 1st-4th, 2015 the Roxy Theater in Missoula will host the first annual Montana Film Festival.

The festival's schedule presents a lineup of new and acclaimed independent films, recent festival hits and includes four made-in-Montana movie premieres. It's an exciting, diverse schedule and we're especially looking forward to ”Love Like Gold” by Kier Atherton and Skye Bennett, both who hail from our Tobacco Valley.

Tobacco Valley Board of History

Understanding the Tobacco Valley Board of History

The Tobacco Valley Board of History is a nonprofit that raises funds to cover the costs – and there are many – for maintaining the Historical Village in Eureka. The volunteers make sure the buildings are in good repair with sound roofs and are all nicely painted. They arrange for lawn maintenance each summer so the grounds look beautiful for events such as the Quilt Show and Shakespeare in the Park. They keep the exhibits organized and the archives up to date.

Sunburst Celebrates 20 Years

Sunburst Celebrates 20 Years

Summer is over. The fires are mostly out. The geese make that lovely sound as they fly south in their V's. Kids are back in school. But life really isn't slowing down in the Tobacco Valley. We might not be camping as much or spending time at the lake, but there are football games to go to and getting those last loads of wood in. And this September has some very special events as well. Sunburst Community Service Foundation will celebrate its 20th anniversary on September 27th in Riverside Park from 2-4pm. And you are invited!

Stonehenge Air Museum

The Stonehenge Air Museum in the Tobacco Valley

An air museum in the Tobacco Valley?!? Even many long-time locals look surprised when they hear about it. But, yes Virginia, there is a wonderful air museum and it is located just south of Eureka.

The non-profit stonehengeairmuseum.org is home of "over two dozen vintage aircraft including the world’s only airworthy MK 47 Seafire".
