A Healthy Place to Live
People passing through the Tobacco Valley are often struck by its small town flavor, unique businesses, friendly people and bountiful nature. Often they don't notice that we have very good healthcare services as well. Over the years, North Valley Hospital and Kalispell Regional Medical Center both opened clinics in Eureka providing everything from annual physicals to physical therapy, internal medicine to ultrasounds, pediatric care to mammograms. The Community Birth Clinic of Kalispell has a satellite in Eureka that offers the services of midwives and well-woman checkups. And of course there is also our county nurse whose office at the Annex provides immunizations. Our town boasts two chiropractors as well as a licensed acupuncturist. Do you use massage as part of your healthcare regime? Four massage therapists in the valley give you a choice of styles and services. And for mental health, there are counselors in private practice, Sunburst mental health services and Western Montana Mental Health. If you are pro-active about taking care of yourself, there is Fosters Fitness right in downtown Eureka and also yoga and Pilates classes offered through the Creative Arts Center.
The entire spectrum of your healthcare needs is easily met in the Tobacco Valley by well-trained specialists. Check out our Business Listings for more detailed information. And take care of yourself in this summer season by eating healthy foods, exercising and leading a balanced lifestyle.
About the Author: Rita Collins. I am a believer in the power of community and for now I call the Tobacco Valley home. I have lived in nine states and three counties and this community here amazes me - how people reach out to neighbors and even travelers. I've never lived in a place that demonstrates people caring for each other so well. And I've never lived in a place that has such a high percentage of talented musicians and artists. I work with the the Sunburst Community Service Foundation, a nonprofit that began in Eureka twenty years ago and now serves numerous communities in western Montana. And I just started a new business, St. Rita's Amazing Traveling Bookstore and Textual Apothecary. I never could have imagined life being this exciting in my sixth decade.
