Here comes 2016!
It is that season when some of us think of making resolutions for the New Year. And sometimes if we chose wisely and have support, we can actually make it through January with the new activity or diet or habit becoming part of our daily routine. So here are a few resources as you mull over you resolutions for 2016.
More exercise? Both Fosters Fitness and the Creative Arts Center offer ways for you to get in better shape. Pilates? Yoga? Zumba? Or just working out three times a week at a very affordable price (including a discount for seniors at Fosters). And there are groups like the Ten Lakes Snowmobile Club and a local women's hiking group if you want to get outside more often. Perhaps your resolution involves giving to your community in the new year.
There are many great volunteer opportunities in the valley - everything from walking dogs for the animal shelter to helping serve dinners at Community Soup Night. Do you want to learn something new? Art classes, a writing group, a book club, music lessons and learning about the area's history at the Historical Village are all available depending on your inclination. So no need to drive to the Flathead in this winter weather when there is so much available right here in the valley. Put some sensible thought into how you want to improve in 2016, and get the necessary information so you will be ready to start next week. Best of luck!
