Glacier Excavating has constructed a vast variety of rock retaining walls for aesthetics as well as function. These walls serve to provide driveway stabilization, erosion control, beautification, and to soften elevation changes on steep lots or building sites. Our rock walls can be seen from Iron Horse to Hungry Horse, from Swan Lake to Glen Lake…actually all over Northwest Montana.

Glacier Excavating is experienced in subdivision design and construction. We will guide you in working with surveyors and engineers as well as local state entities with our experience in the construction of public water systems, utilities, and roads including custom guardrails and landscaping.

Owner and operator Bob Cuffe is a recognized stream restoration specialist. Glacier Excavating has completed numerous projects to improve land along rivers, creeks, lakes, and wetlands. Our stream work has proven effective in improving fish habitat, providing flood protection, preserving land, and preventing erosion.
