Bullet Hole Cabin Rental
The Perfect Get Away Jewel in the Wilderness
Best Vacation Cabin in a class all it's own
West Kootenai best kept secret in Montana
Amish Homesteader’s Cabin completely renovated
Less than one mile from British Columbia, nestled among the pines, is the Bullet Hole Cabin, located on the west side of Lake Koocanusa, in the West Kootenai. Views of the Whitefish Range of the Rocky Mountains, Kootenai National Forest border, Amish buggies dotting the countryside, wildlife such as white-tailed deer, mule deer, turkeys, elk, moose, mountain lion, black bear, grizzly, coyotes, and bald eagles flying overhead are some of the experiences possible at the Bullet Hole.
Originally, an Amish Homesteader’s cabin, the Bullet Hole Cabin has been completely renovated and remodeled. It offers comfortable sleeping for 6/7. Cozy at 840 square feet, the cabin also boasts an additional 320 square feet of outside covered porches – including a gas grill and picnic table on the back porch! A living room with a gas fireplace, individual heaters in all bedroom areas, fully-equipped kitchen with custom oak cabinets with all amenities, washer & dryer, 2 full bathrooms, 3 bedroom areas including 2 private bedrooms – one downstairs with a double bed; upstairs with a bunk bed (double on the bottom, single on the top), and an open loft bedroom with 2 twins that make a king; as well as all linens and cookware and you will have the memories of a lifetime waiting for you. Also provided are fishing rods, tackle and coolers for day trips and you will be ready to go!
Have you ever done a vacation and not sure of the area? After we receive your reservation, we mail an Info Pack so you may begin planning your trip. For your use in the cabin, is a detailed information book full of day trip ideas from fishing the rivers & lakes, to the local beach, to hiking the National Forest trails, to a picnic lunch at Little North Fork Falls, to finding a scenic drive, for boat rentals, horseback riding, and others.
Nestled on our 10-acre home parcel, we have strived to maintain the guest cabin's privacy; however, our home (located approximately 600' from the cabin) and shop (located approximately 200' from the cabin) are visible from the cabin. A separate circular driveway is provided for the cabin.
Please note that we do not allow boat trailers, snowmobile trailers, campers or RVs to be towed onto the property due to the tight circular driveway. There is no boat ramp on the west side of Lake Koocanusa. The boat ramps are located on east side of the lake.
We are STRICTLY a non-smoking/non-pet facility – in the cabin and on all grounds.
