Kootenai Valley Rangers Baseball

Kootenai Valley Rangers Baseball Fundraiser

The Kootenai Valley Rangers baseball team has been a force for the past 20 years in the Tobacco Valley. They can start early with Little League, but there are no high school baseball teams in Montana. The KV Rangers gives our boys, ages 15-18, an opportunity to play ball!

Their annual fundraiser is at Rexford's Frontier Bar on Sat. March 19. Dinner starts around 5:00, auction begins at 6:00, and the festivities continue into the night. This will be a fun-filled time with music by Ben Chappellow, silent auctions, and a live auction to support our team. Donations include loads of firewood, Wilderness Club golf packages, ski passes to Big Mountain, a guided fishing day on Lake Koocanusa, and MORE! And, the Frontier Bar is donating a portion of the proceeds from dinner and drinks to our Rangers.

The KV Rangers is a non-profit organization that happens because of community support...because of you. The sponsorship of American Legion Post #74 helps with their registration fee and insurance. But, the KV Rangers depend upon us to keep them going. The gear, the buses, the umpieres, etc., all cost something; hence, the fundraiser on Sat., March 19. And, hey, if you want to pitch in and lend a hand – get in touch with coach Jim Henrie at . He'll be happy to welcome you to the support team.

Our KV Rangers play teams all along the western mountain range of Montana. They devote their summers to practices and play about 55 games with teams in their district. After districts, they can preceed into the state tourneys, and then progress to regional games that include Wyoming, Alaska, Idoha, Washington, and Oregon. It's a great opportunity for our boys to interact with kids their age from outside the Valley. The trips not only give the boys a chance to play ball, and are planned so that they can check out what the different areas they visit have to offer.

Come to the Frontier Bar on Sat. March 19 for the Kootenai Valley Rangers! Take Yourself out to the Ball Game....Take Yourself out to the Crowd....and Support Our Team!
