Coffee Time?

Coffee Time?

I just returned from a very much appreciated trip to Italy. One of my rituals there was stopping in a cafe in the morning to enjoy a luscious cup of espresso with a pastry. Loathed to give this up entirely, I bought a small espresso pot so I could make my own once I was home. But really there are great places in Eureka where good coffee can be enjoyed - alone, with friends, over breakfast or with a yummy treat.

The staff at Cafe Jax is always ready to serve you a cup with a smile. As is Four Corners and the Front Porch Grill and Trading Company. If you are in your car and not wanting to brave the icy sidewalks, you can get great coffee at either of two drive-throughs: Latte' Da in town or On the Fly Cafe in Fortine. There are other options for drive-through coffee places in Eureka, depending on whether you are headed north or south.

Strong coffee with frothy milk and perhaps a biscotti or muffin are the ideal accompaniments for a winter trip to the Flathead. So, regardless if you are a cappuccino fan or prefer an Americano or mocha, take advantage of the delicious coffee available in the Tobacco Valley. Buon caffè!

About the Author: Rita Collins. I am a believer in the power of community and for now I call the Tobacco Valley home. I have lived in nine states and three counties and this community here amazes me - how people reach out to neighbors and even travelers. I've never lived in a place that demonstrates people caring for each other so well. And I've never lived in a place that has such a high percentage of talented musicians and artists. I work with the the Sunburst Community Service Foundation, a nonprofit that began in Eureka twenty years ago and now serves numerous communities in western Montana. And I just started a new business, St. Rita's Amazing Traveling Bookstore and Textual Apothecary. I never could have imagined life being this exciting in my sixth decade.
