Sunburst Foundation Talk of the Town

Sunburst's Toast of the Town

This is the sixth year that community members will step out for a night on the town with wine tasting, art and delicious hors d'ouevres. Sunburst Community Service Foundation's annual Toast of the Town is an ideal way to spend an evening with friends in a comfortable setting talking, bidding on great auction items and enjoying Dave Leeman's banter about wine.

Each year Sunburst has asked a local potter to craft wine cups especially for the occasion. This year Karin Lamb of Earthstones Pottery is making the handcrafted cups that will match the evening's elegance. A $15 entrance gives participants one of Karin's lovely cups, their first beverage, hors d'ouevres prepared by Deb Alexander and a chance for a door prize. Throughout the evening there are items in a silent auction and a 50/50 raffle. The proceeds from the evening go towards Sunburst programs in Eureka.

The Sunburst Community Service Foundation began in Eureka nineteen years ago and continues to bring in Shakespeare in the Park, Missoula Children's Theater, a concert series and more. There is also the Families in Partnership program and the Sunburst mental health center which provide much needed services. What Sunburst offers in the Tobacco Valley has grown over the years. Fundraising events like the annual Toast of the Town are a marvelous way to help Sunburst meet their expenses while offering the town a great opportunity to step out. This year's event will be at Four Corners Restaurant beginning at 5:30pm on Friday, November 7.

Hope to see you there.
