Trash-2-Flash Recycled Fashion Show
Saturday, May 16 brought you the extravaganza that was the 5th Annual Trash-2-Flash Recycled Fashion Show; fundraiser for your Creative Arts Center!
Dinner was a delicious choice of BBQ Tri-tip sandwiches or Veg-kebabs with all the fixin's and non-alcoholic drink for only $12/adults and $6 for kids aged 12 and under. Beer brewed in good cheer from our own local HA) Brewery and wine was available for purchase.
Hopefully you saw this fabulous fun-filled evening of entertainment that can only be described as “more fun than humans should be allowed to have.” Local artists turned materials that would have gone into the landfill (Trash) into outrageously incredible outfits (Flash) that were danced down the runway for your enjoyment. Fun for the whole family...this ain't any ordinary fashion show! Look for pictures on the Creative Arts Center Facebook page. As soon as we get some we'll post them.
Music during intermission was by the Montana Cardboard Band...a tight group of musicians playing on cardboard instruments made by the fabulous Ray Jacobs. There was a silent auction of really cool stuff made from recycled items and the outfits were also be auctioned off. “It's our biggest fundraiser to pay down the mortgage on the Creative Arts Center,” says Lois Sciligo, CAC Facility Director, “It's a lot of fun for everyone, the audience and the participates in the show really, really love it.”
Sponsored by the Creative Arts Council who own and operate the Creative Arts Center, this show owes a lot to the following who make it happen: The Multitude of Volunteers, Key Club, Chrysalis, Montana Market, Heaven's Peak Organics, Timber Creek Graphics, Beyond Graphics, Kris & Becky Lihme, Cafe Jax, HA) Brewery, and everyone who comes to cheer and applaud!
If you missed what is surely one of the best performances in the Tobacco Valley....there's always next year!
